Welcome to my world of art! Deep shadows, bright colors from acrylic paint, watercolors and yarns are my inspiration.

 

Art has to make a “heart connection” with the viewer. The real artist is not the one who sees for herself but she must make others participate.

 

An artist takes the everyday sights and turns them into something magical. Art is all around you!

I live in the country (the woods) outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. My inspiration for my painting, drawing and sculpture comes from nature and from wanting to show the common things of daily life in a unique way.

 

I am always more comfortable painting on location. It may be a harbor, a landscape, a dog, someone’s home, or a rusty old truck. My studio has traveled from Alaska, Vermont, Florida, Europe, Washington to my hometown of Milford, Ohio.

 

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and have a Bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University and a Master's degree from Xavier University.

 

As an artist, I've had the opportunity to have two other careers. One as an Elementary and Junior High School Art Teacher and as the Founding Director of Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding & Horsemanship. But once you are an artist, you are always an artist!
