June Scholl

My art features animals and nature. style is simple lines with strong values, completed by expression. I am deeply attracted to how a single line can portray a horses back, the head of a fox or the topline of an anteater.

I started painting in 2017 with a $5.00 set of watercolors. It began as a quiet exercise to fend off long winter nights but quickly began to happen more often thanks to the unconditional support and encouragement of a dear friend who is a "real" artist. I now predominately use oils on canvas and board.

I live in Lebanon, OH, with my husband, 2 dogs, a cat and a horse.
