Judy Stewart

Judy was born in southeastern, Kentucky in 1931. When her older sister suffered from Infantile paralysis, her mother hired an art teacher to come to their home to teach her sister the basics of art. Judy hid behind the door during these lessons, and listened to every word.

Her family owned and operated the Corbin Milk Company. She grew up with a firm work ethic her Austrian immigrant grandfather instilled in her as well as a deep appreciation for art. The mountains of Kentucky and the natural beauty surrounding her added to her inspiration her to become an observer of composition.

Judy moved with her husband and children from southeastern, Kentucky to the Cincinnati area in 1955. She began to paint with oils in a palate of black, white, and yellow ochre. Judy enjoyed experimenting with new techniques and color schemes. Her scenes often included old barns and landscapes that reflected her Kentucky heritage. She was a popular local artist and sold paintings to collectors all over the country. Judy passed in 2021.

All monies generated by sales of Judy's remaing artwork will be donated to Feed Our Flock.
